For those close to the service user this can be a challenging time. Our End of Life care team undergo specific training in order to provide the best possible service during this difficult time. It can include giving informal carers or family members a break from their caring role to recharge their batteries.
We try to make the experience as positive as possible by supporting family members and ensuring the person is as comfortable as possible. By working with other professionals, e.g. Macmillan and District Nurses and other health care professionals, we are able to create a multi agency approach in partnership with both care and medical teams. At the same time we include a personalised approach for each individual receiving our End of Life service.
